With a wealth of experience in developing community energy projects, Vital Energi can also help clients to unlock potential funding and access grants to help finance projects.
Grant funding
For clients who intend to own the assets of their community energy project, Vital Energi may be able to help secure grant funding to reduce capital costs.
To encourage the uptake of combined heat and power (CHP) and community energy schemes, the government now offers a wide range of grants and other funding initiatives. Vital Energi has the insight, understanding and experience to help clients navigate these different sources of financial assistance and to ultimately secure the best form of support for their project.
For instance, Vital Energi are approved installers of wood-fuelled heating systems through the DTI's Low Carbon Buildings Programme (LCBP). This programme provides grants for renewable technologies, including schemes undertaken by community organisations, schools, the public and not-for-profit sectors and private businesses.
Asset finance
For clients who either do not wish to own the assets of their community energy project or who simply do not wish to or are unable to contribute fully to the capital cost, it may be possible for Vital Energi to provide some or all of the required project finance.
Email a member of our expert Vital Energi team with your community energy query and they will get back to you as soon as possible.
