We learn with regret the news that one of Vital Energi’s former employees Jamie Hope sadly passed away on Thursday 11th June, at home in Zambia, South Africa.

Jamie was actively involved in the district heating industry for over thirty years working for Moller Pipe, ABB Flowsystems, Alstom Power Flowsystems and then Vital Energi.  With his knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for the industry championing the benefits of district energy, Jamie was instrumental in the growth of Vital Energi over the years and has played a significant part in establishing Vital as one of the UK’s leading innovators in district energy provision.

On retiring in 2005, Jamie was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the CHPA. After leaving the industry Jamie established a new life and a successful business with his wife, Vanessa, in Zambia.

Jamie will be very sadly missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing him.
