Berkeley Homes has awarded Vital Energi the O&M contract for the first phase of the £1 billion Kidbrooke Village regeneration project, involving 4,800 homes in Greenwich, London.

 “Kidbrooke Regeneration” is a £1 billion regeneration project that will take approximately 15-20 years to complete, bringing forward a vibrant new development across four new neighbourhoods.   The masterplan, which received planning permission in 2009, provides for approximately 4,800 private and affordable homes, a new 100 acre public park, a new health centre, community facilities and shops, plus improved and accessible public transport to deliver a place where everyone can experience a better quality of life. This regeneration of the former Ferry Estate in South East London is being delivered by a partnership between Greenwich Council, the Homes and Communities Agency, Berkley Homes, Southern Housing Group and ASRA Greater London Housing Association.

Richard Hodkinson Consultancy on behalf of Renew Services Ltd, appointed Vital Energi as the three year O&M provider for the scheme’s existing Energy Centre featuring a biomass boiler and two gas fired boilers as part of the first phase of the project, named City Point.
