Vital Energi were recently awarded the next phase of work on the £8million 500 home heat and home upgrade scheme being delivered by Hackney Homes in Shoreditch as part of their £220million Decent Homes Programme, improving and upgrading 25% of their 35,000 housing stock.

Vital Energi demonstrated best value; being awarded the fourth phase of works through a competitive tender process. The current phase comprises the supply and installation of a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) energy centre scheme across three housing estates which is set to displace 1,200 tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum. This phase follows the previous successful completion of 3 earlier phases which included the district heating infrastructure works, the upgrade of the internal pipework on 7 blocks of flats and the production of a business case detailing an energy strategy for the three estates.
