3 Peaks Raise over £5000

Our 3 Peaks Challenge Team took on the UK’s 3 highest mountains in the name of a good cause, but the blisters, bruises and early morning training walks were all worthwhile given that they have raised a fantastic £5427.51 for The Christie charity.

Marketing Manager, Abby Whitelock commented, “On behalf of the team we would like to say a big thank you to family, friends and all of the companies who sponsored us and made this challenge worthwhile. The challenge wasn’t easy, and whilst we have tackled the mountains individually during our training, doing them with little sleep and food is ten times harder but the team spirit kept us going.  I’d also like to thank all our 3 Peaks Challenge Team themselves, who went through a gruelling 24 hours and for all of the fundraising they have done as well The Christie for all of their help and support.”

The fundraising page has now closed and we would like to thank everyone who kindly donated and helped us to smash our original £4,000 target.  We are delighted to say that this means we have raised over £10,000 for The Christie over the last 12 months!

Sinead Kennedy-Peers, fundraising co-ordinator at The Christie charity said, “Thank you to the Vital Energi 3 Peaks Challenge team for taking on this amazing challenge. This fantastic donation will be split between The Christie’s complementary therapy team and our new Integrated Procedures Unit. The donation will help the work carried out by the therapy team, allowing them to offer massages, aromatherapy, acupuncture and reflexology free of charge to patients. The Integrated Procedures Unit is an exciting, specially designed building which will bring together the services that our day-patients need in one place. We’re so grateful for your support; it will make a huge difference to cancer patients at The Christie.”

Congratulations to everyone on a job well done!
