Code of Practice Receives Vote of Confidence | Vital Energi
One of Vital Energi’s District Heating experts has spoken publicly about the importance of adopting the new Heat Networks Code of Practice in one of the UK’s top M&E magazines.
Business Development Manager, Brendan Clancy, who has almost 35 years’ experience in district heating took the opportunity to promote the code of practice in a feature on District Heating in December’s Heating & Venting News magazine.
To ensure that heat networks are designed and operate effectively, CIBSE and the ADE (Formerly the CHPA) brought together industry partners to create a document establishing common standards for the development of district heating. Vital Energi were among the partners helping to inform and shape the consultation process which resulted in the Heat Networks Code of Practice.
Brendan explains, “Adopting and embracing the Heat Networks Code of Practice is the most important thing in the industry by a long way and by adhering to the code of practice we can raise standards, not just in installation, but also in training, specification, maintenance and design. We can give developers, local authorities and other organisations and, most importantly, consumers the confidence that they’re getting a system which will deliver year in and year out.
“It’s essential that we all get behind this code of practice and promote and support as the result will be a more successful, efficient and robust heating infrastructure for the UK.”blog comments powered by Disqus
