£10.8k Raised for The Christie

After a busy year of fundraising, we are pleased to have raised a total of £10,858.95 for The Christie Charity this year!

This comes after various initiatives all across the business to beat last year’s total of £3,605.70, here are some of the highlights:

  • Weight Loss Club – 16 members of our London team ditched the carbs to budge that Christmas bulge raising £195.
  • Mini-Breaks Raffle – we raffled off two Italian escapes which saw a massive £1,384 raised.
  • Football Matches – our Design and Engineering departments competed in two charity football matches which saw Engineering triumph and raise £670 for The Christie.
  • Tough Mudder Challenge – 24 of our brave Vital colleagues tackled the 10 mile Tough Mudder course which had over 20 obstacles with challenging elements such as electricity, ice and, of course, mud, to raise an amazing £3,355.
  • Christmas Auction – we held our annual Christmas auction with items such as hampers, theatre tickets, televisions, a spa break and signed memorabilia from Geoff Hurst and Ricky Hatton to raise a huge £1,384.

In addition to all these, our fundraising efforts also included multiple raffles for hampers, spa breaks and bottles of booze to name a few, as well as taking part in Christmas Jumper Day.

We have been supporting The Christie for over 10 years now which is a cancer specialist hospital in Manchester providing exceptional care and treatment to patients, and pioneering research into new treatments and technologies for the fight against the disease.

We’d like to thank all who helped raise such a great figure and hope that we can raise even more in the New Year.
