Vital Energi Utilities Limited (VEUL) is one of the UK’s market leaders in delivering low carbon and sustainable community energy projects. As a result of our continuing success we are experiencing rapid and extensive growth in all business sectors; as such we have an exceptional Business Development opportunity for a highly talented and motivated individual in the South of England. The primary role of the successful candidate will be to increase VEUL’s market share by a minimum of 10% whilst achieving even greater sales growth by capitalising on new business sector prospects.
VEUL is at the forefront of delivering centralised efficient low carbon energy solutions across public/ private residential, retail and commercial sectors throughout the UK. We operate in a rapidly expanding vibrant market for Heat and Power solutions. We design, install, operate, maintain and own environmentally friendly energy generation; and distribution systems.
Maximise all potential revenue opportunities across our revenue streams but primarily within our Heat Networks business sector via;
New Business Development - Raise the profile of Vital Energi in the market place. Extend the boundaries of the company’s geographical coverage and the range of services which VEUL can offer by developing the present network of complimentary partnerships. Generate interest and develop a rapport with potential and existing clients by using persuasive approaches including networking, advertising, and cold calling.
Client Retention - Work with colleagues to meet customer needs and enhance existing relationships. Conduct internal and external client debriefs and present new products/ services.
Business Development Planning - Utilise the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators to exploit opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels to increase sales. Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences and provide feedback to mid and senior level management on business trends.
Management and Research - Research and develop a thorough understanding of VEULs’ people capabilities. Forecast sales targets and track and record activity on accounts to help close deals and ensure the team meet these targets. Ensure that data is correctly managed within the company’s CRM (or other sales management) system and submit accurate weekly progress reports. Fulfill prequalification and vendor list requirements in a timely manner.
Ideally qualified at Degree level or similar (HNC/ HND), with 5 years’ experience in a client facing role in District Heating Systems, Heat Networks, CHP/ Biomass energy centres or Industrial/ Commercial Boilers with:
