Subcontract Ledger Clerk

Due to the company’s continuing growth, we require a Purchase Ledger Clerk to strengthen the existing Finance team.

About the role

We are recruiting for a Subcontract Ledger Clerk to join our team based at our Blackburn Head Office. Our Finance team were recently awarded the Finance Team of the Year (20+ people) at the North West Finance Awards and this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to further develop their career within an award winning Finance team. As a Subcontract ledger clerk you will input accurate and timely information into Microsoft Dynamics setting up subcontractor accounts, processing invoices and matching payment certificates in order to ensure our subcontractors are paid in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

  • Collating Subcontractor applications, payment notices and invoices
  • Logging and coding Subcontract Invoices in line with company procedures; issuing for authorisation, chasing return and posting once authorised
  • Liaise with internal departments and subcontractors to resolve invoice discrepancies and queries
  • Setting up new accounts and maintaining existing account details within Microsoft Dynamics
  • Production of weekly subcontractor payment runs for UK & International subcontractors
  • Obtaining and reconciling supplier statements with top 20 Subcontractors on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of accounts.
  • Obtaining and verifying Subcontractor CIS and Service Provider CIS details; CIS reconciliations and
  • Payments
  • CIS monthly end reporting and submission in line with HMRC requirements
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required
