Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy Statement

Vital Energi is fully committed to compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”) in all its divisions, not only in its own dealings but in those of its supply chain. We have taken several steps to combat slavery and human trafficking and will continue to work to ensure this does not occur in our business or supply chain. This statement has been published in accordance with the Act and sets out the steps we have taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.

Energy Policy Statement

Recognising that Energy consumption constitutes a significant environmental aspect for the business, we continually develop and implement an Energy Management System to ensure as far as possible that sustainable practice remains at the heart of our operations.

Gender Pay Report

Vital Energi are an employer required by law to carry out Gender Pay Reporting under the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017. This was brought into effect following the 2015 general election where the Government announced that it intended to fulfil a manifesto commitment by bringing into force a provision of the Equality Act 2010 on gender pay gap reporting. 

Living Wage Report

At the current time, Vital Energi guarantees to pay the National Minimum Wage (NMW), National Living Wage and Real Living Wage rates to all directly employed members of staff (in line with the minimum age limits appropriate to each National pay structure).  Apprentices are not required to receive the Real Living Wage; we do however pay each of them significantly higher than the NMW and ensure pay rises over the course of the apprenticeship are well above inflation.

ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System

Vital Energi has been audited and found to meet the requirements of standard ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Scope of certification.

The provision of energy solutions through design, installation and management of tangible assets involving low carbon energy systems, comprising energy generation, distribution, and secondary side components and other operational and customer services such as metering of energy use, in a manner that ensures all contractual statutory requirements are met and that the interests and expectations of workers, clients and other affected parties are satisfied.

ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System

Vital Energi has been audited and found to meet the requirements of standard ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System.

The provision of design, installation, asset management and other operational and customer services on low carbon energy systems comprising energy generation, distribution, and secondary side components in a manner that ensures all contractual statutory requirements are met and that the interests and expectations of workers clients and other affected parties are accordingly satisfied.

OHSAS 18001:2007 Health & Safety Management System

Vital Energi has been audited and found to meet the requirements of standard (BS) OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Scope of certification.

ISO 50001: 2011 Energy Management System

Vital Energi is accredited to ISO 50001:2011, a prestigious and internationally recognised accreditation for Energy Management Systems capable of delivering continual improvement of performance.

Payment Practices Action Plan

We complete our published payment practice reports via the gov.uk website and we understand we have a gap between our recent performance and the required standards for public sector procurement. This gap is predominantly due to favourable payment terms with two high volume low value long term suppliers based on our historic track record and reputation for being reliable payers.
