Traffic Management

Minimising disruption is a core objective for our clients and we create robust traffic management plans, working with highways and when required liaising with industry specialist consultants to deliver district heating solutions which work for residents and commuters whilst allowing progress to continue. We have experience of organising everything from temporary traffic lights and diversions through to road closures and alternative public transport systems.

Planning And Highways

For a district heating or cooling project to progress it is essential that submissions to the Planning and Highways Authority are comprehensive and easy to understand, giving the assessors everything they need to make an informed decision and ultimately grant the necessary permissions. We can handle the entire submissions process or contribute expertise to a client as and when needed.

Heat Loss Analysis

This is an essential step in designing any district heating system as it allows clients to make financial decisions. Through accurately predicting heat loss we can size plant and equipment appropriately, make commercial predictions and in some cases have demonstrated to our clients that a small capital investment in improving insulation levels can generate large savings in the long term.

Delivery & Handling

District Heating Delivery, handling and storage of district heating is a specialist skill. Pipework often comes in 12m lengths or large rolls and like all large deliveries and crane lifts it has the potential to be dangerous if not handled properly. We can oversee the delivery, handling and storage of district heating pipework, plant and equipment, creating safe compounds and lay down areas and our expertise is invaluable on tight, busy developments and premises.

Heat Network Code of Practice

As the market leader for the installation of district heating networks, we were delighted to be invited to sit on the steering group which drafted the Heat Network Code of Practice as it is a valuable tool in raising the standards in an unregulated industry. By specifying minimum standards for every aspect of the design and installation of heat networks it created a core level of competence as well as raising client and consumer confidence.
