We received the contract to design and build five Urban Reserve gas-fired peaking plants across the UK. The combined installations deliver 17MW of electrical capacity by using gas-fired gensets.
The facilities have been deliberately located in areas of high demand, such as commercial and urban areas. Each location utilises either 2MW or 2.5MW gensets and they are designed to support the use of renewable technology by compensating for the times when sources like solar or wind are not producing enough electricity to meet demand.
