project. A recent example includes the £175m Nordic Bond raised to acquire the Port Clarence site and convert it into an Energy from Waste site. This is one of the largest Nordic Bond’s raised in the UK for the energy infrastructure sector.
Our focus is on investing in energy asset ownership across various projects, including multi-utility, waste-to-energy, energy storage and heat networks. These initiatives generate significant long-term revenue and profit, supporting our traditional design and build services for clients. Our future-focussed strategy continues to drive substantial growth in our business turnover, whilst maintaining financial security and best practice.
The latest addition to our group is Vital Energi Power Networks - an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO), making it possible for us to adopt electrical connections between the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) and your newbuild project. This not only simplifies the process of electrification of the network, but also means we can offer you an agreed Asset Adoption Value, which is something a DNO can’t do.
We have a flexible approach to asset adoption, particularly when it comes to electrical network connections. We can buy the newly created network connection outright, significantly reducing the capital cost of your project, or we can offer you a share of the network connection, enabling you to generate income from the asset over its lifetime. Working with us means a far simpler process, from concept to completion and beyond. We have the largest team of inhouse designers in our industry. Over 150 designers dedicated to creating innovative bespoke energy generation, distribution and consumption management solutions. Our wider team can then assist all the way through to construction completion. We will also help with any legislation compliance and Distribution Network Operator (DNO) liaisons, if necessary. But our help doesn’t stop when the project is completed; we can buy or part-fund the finished energy asset, offering an Asset Adoption Value (AAV) ensuring revenue is generated quicker than a potentially lengthy sale to a 3rd party.
