Good governance begins with a highly experienced Board of Directors

Ultimate oversight and direction for the governance of Vital Energi sits with the Group Board. Our wider board structure and diversity links the leadership levels of our company, ensuring that people with extensive knowledge and experience of the industry we work in are the driving force behind all that we do.

Representatives of the Board are highly experienced in the commercial renewable energy industry, with some having worked in the industry for over 30 years. In fact, they are some of the most experienced people in the market, having built some of the UK's very first Heat Network schemes.

Future Leaders Board

To ensure that we are resilient enough to face future challenges, it is imperative that we continue to innovate and generate new ideas. Our Future Leaders Board brings fresh perspectives, innovation, and diversity to our organisation. The Board helps develop future leaders, enhances decision-making with diverse insights and bridges generational gaps. Fostering engagement with younger demographics increases our adaptability in a rapidly changing market. Additionally, it encourages mentorship, knowledge transfer, and a dynamic organisational culture.

Human Rights

We are a participant of the UN Global Compact and support the UN Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. We comply with all applicable human rights and labour laws, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015. The actions we have both taken and identified for future improvement are laid out in our Annual Modern Slavery Statement. We are committed to a fair and just transition to a Net Zero future where we create and share value with our stakeholders and wider society. Our business strategy is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and we have analysed the impact our business could have, both positive and negative, on all 17 Goals.

As a member of the Senior Executive board, we have a set of standards in place that are managed to reflect the business and the behaviour of our employees. The leadership and expertise we offer is to help Vital Energi improve in it's growth, and allows our stakeholders to know our values within the company.
