Architectural Technologist

The opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Architectural Technologist to support us on a number of interesting and varied range of new-build and refurbishment projects. This role is based from our head office in Blackburn and requires travel to projects across the UK.

About the role

The successful candidate will join a small team of construction professionals working on a variety of projects that may all be running concurrently. The role would suit a dynamic and experienced Architectural Technologist who wishes to broaden their skill range in an exciting and fast-moving sector of the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the tendering process for design & build construction projects.
  • Producing high-quality 3D architectural images and fly-through videos
  • Producing the design of structures, bridges and supports for mechanical services on refurbishment and new build projects.
  • Liaising with in-house mechanical and electrical design teams to ensure that the new / existing buildings and any structural supports are fit for purpose.
  • Obtaining Planning and Building Regulations approval
  • Assisting the project team with site set-up and logistics plans
  • Assisting project programming and scheduling
  • Selection and supervision of sub-contractors
  • Supporting the project delivery teams with site visits and general advice.
  • Producing as-built drawings and end-user documentation
