About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our engineering team in Scotland working on a project in Edinburgh. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering complex projects including Steam, Heat Pumps, Solar PV, and Electrical Generation Technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and ensure the successful completion of projects within scope and quality parameters.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of the contract with the aid of Project Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Planning Manager
  • Working closely with the client to further develop and promote the company, engaging with potential clients to build relationships in order to support the work winning team
  • Reviewing and approval of construction programmes
  • Attending pre-contract meetings in conjunction with senior commercial staff
  • Attending site meetings and producing contract review reports
  • Securing resource and sub-contractors for the project
  • Management of direct reports and those within the project team providing leadership and guidance
  • Reviewing systems and methods when required to improve contract performance
  • Producing health and safety plans with overall responsibility for site health and safety, ensuring that all statutory obligations relating to health, safety and environment are met and where possible exceeded.
