Contracts Manager

Due to the company’s continuing growth, we require a Contracts Manager to support our project teams across the Scottish Region.

About the role

As a Contracts Manager at Vital Energi you will oversee complex projects which involve technologies such as Steam, Heat Pumps, Solar PV, and Electrical Generation technologies ensuring that contracts are delivered safely, on programme, to budget and to client and Vital Energi standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Attending pre-contract meetings along with senior members of the commercial team
  • Understanding our contractual obligations and client requirements for performance and delivery of projects
  • Managing all aspects of the contract(s) with the aid of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Planning Manager
  • Approval of construction programmes
  • Reviewing and Approval of inspection and testing plans and commissioning programmes
  • Ensuring Vital Energi QA procedures are followed, projects are defect free and successfully completed
  • Supporting project teams to produce health and safety plans taking overall responsibility for site health and safety
  • Managing the project team ensuring that project viability is maintained
  • Attending Commercial Reviews and producing contract status reports
  • Reviewing systems and methods when required to improve contract performance
  • Ensuring O&M manuals are produced and issued in accordance with the project requirements
  • Working closely with clients to further develop relationships and promote the company
  • Engaging with potential clients to build relationships working with the bid team to secure future work
  • Promoting and complying with the Company’s policies on equality and health and safety both in the delivery of service and the treatment of others.
