The first air source heat pump arrives in Plymouth

Work is well underway on our decarbonisation project with Plymouth City Council where we’ll deliver carbon savings of almost 300 tonnes a year for the first stage of the project, through the installation of advanced renewable energy technologies across four of their city centre buildings, which includes a connection to the Plymouth Combined Court.

We’ve just taken delivery of the first of four air source heat pumps, which will be located at Crownhill Court, and comprises an integrated compressor and evaporators at ground level within an existing car park adjacent the plant room.

Delivery has also been taken for a CHP unit which is located in the basement plant room of the Guildhall, and work has commenced on the trenching for the flow and return pipework buried beneath the council car park, running between the Guildhall and Combined Court buildings.
